Peter graduated in political science from Comenius University in Bratislava. He worked at the Ministry of Culture and at the Office of the Government, between 2002 and 2006 at the Office of the Prime Minister. In 2006 and 2010 general elections he was elected the Member of the Parliament. For a short period of time he held a position of the head of the municipal office in Dolný Kubín. In 2011, then Prime Minister Iveta Radičová nominated Peter Secretary of the Ministerial Council, a newly created coordination body of the Government. Today, he is not member of any political party.
In COP he manages the Center and is involved in educational and consultancy activities.
